Initiated
in 2002 in the hope of developing general knowledge among the students, this
society is a great help in the general knowledge paper of G.C.E. A/L.The expectations
of the society is to develop understanding among schools by participating
in inter-school competitions ,and participating in competitions organized
by private companies and obtaining scholarships, lighting the path of extra
knowledge and bringing fame upon the schools through victories. Winning the
3rd place in “Nestermalt Buddhi Prabhodaya” T.V.Quiz competition
is one of the significant victories of the society. Two of our students, Thilini
Wickramaratne and Maneesha Senaratharachchi brought fame to school by winning
this and they brought with them a cash prize of Rs.50,000/= .
