In this Association established under the international
standards of Girl Guiding, the main objective is to mould the students into
the citizens with a good personality, with an ability to face challenges successfully.
They are trained to be self-confident, well-disciplined, pure in thought and
deed, honest and truthful and thereby the sole aim is to provide the future
with better women to the Sri Lankan society.
Training with immense dedication for more than 25 years our Girl Guides Association
has won the opportunity to send some of our guides to participate in the World
Girl Guides Camp in 2003 and we had the privilege of one of our girl guides,
Kalani Nuwanga Katupotha participating in the Unity camp held in England in
2006.Annual memorial camps, Bonfire nights help in upgrading the skills of
the guides.
