Our
Karate club was initiated in 1994 and our members participated in the all
island competitions in 1995 and 1996. Our members represented the 3rd and
5th Asian Karate competitions held in Taipe, Taiwan and won silver and bronze
medals. They also participated in the 3rd and 4th Asian junior tournament
as well as in the South Asian Games. Another remarkable victory is becoming
the runners-up of “Kumithe-group”, of the Western province in
the national school tournament in 2006.
