Our Media Unit, which was initiated in 1993, is a stage for developing skills.
The hope of the unit is to give initial training about civilized and disciplined
media culture. While competing with different schools, it has also helped
in making of co-operation among schools. The unit comprises of both sinhala
and English announcers who are selected after two tests. The morning transmittion
is the first to greet the school every morning. On 14th of July, 2003 a media
workshop was held with the support of media center. Many of the old members
of the unit, today work at many leading TV and Radio channels.
